Bloodwork

Affordable and Easy Bloodwork at Bayside Urgent Care Center

There are times when your labs or bloodwork need to be done right away, and you don’t have time to waste. At Bayside Urgent Care Center, we draw labs and perform bloodwork tests every day so you won’t have to go to another lab facility to get your blood drawn.

We are open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM. We are always accepting new patients and require no appointments.

Why Might You Need Bloodwork?

Bloodwork is one of the simplest and most effective ways of finding out what is happening inside your body. Depending on results, our staff can see if your organs are functioning correctly and if your cholesterol and other levels are okay. Bloodwork can also help your doctors evaluate if medications have the desired effects.

While most people get bloodwork done as part of their annual physical, you may also need bloodwork:

● If you are experiencing any abnormal symptoms -- like nausea or pain -- that does not subside.

● If you want to reduce the risk of certain diseases, bloodwork results can identify a problem in its earliest and most treatable stage.

● To check for specific diseases or conditions.

● To check the treatment regimen for a pre-existing condition.

What Are Some of the Conditions I Can Test for?

Bayside Urgent Care Center can test for a wide variety of issues, such as:

● Glucose or Blood Sugar Levels

● Basic Metabolic Panel

● Liver Function Test

● Lipid or Cholesterol Panel

COVID-19 Testing & Antibodies

● Thyroid Hormone Levels

● Red or White Blood Cell Count

● CBC or Complete Blood Count

● Vitamin Levels

● H. Pylori

● STD Tests

● Pregnancy Tests

● Urinalysis

● Drug Tests

What Should You Do to Prepare for Bloodwork?

If you have scheduled specific bloodwork, the medical team should inform you of anything you need to do or refrain from doing before your appointment. Some tests require you not to drink or eat beforehand (typically 8-12 hours). You should also try to eat less fatty or fried food, and avoid alcohol for 1-2 days before your appointment.

At Bayside Urgent Care Center, we can usually draw bloodwork the same day we see you, even if you have no appointment. If there are requirements that haven’t been met when you come in, we can reschedule your testing for a different day.

How is Bloodwork Done?

In some cases, a blood draw can be a simple finger prick for a drip of blood. More than likely, however, we will perform a blood draw by inserting a needle into your arm. We can then fill the necessary vials for different tests.

Does Bayside Urgent Care Center Accept Insurance?

Yes, we accept several major insurance carriers, including Medicare. If you are underinsured, uninsured, or prefer to pay out-of-pocket, we accept payment at the time of service. We also offer flexible and affordable payment plans.
