Urgent Care for Asthma
Asthma is a chronic respiratory condition that causes difficulty in breathing. It’s characterized by episodes of abrupt symptoms caused by inflammation and narrowing of the bronchial tubes. People with asthma experience these symptoms when the airways tighten, inflame, or fill with mucus.
When people have asthma attacks, an inhaler delivers an immediate dose of medication to the airways. This helps to reduce inflammation, loosen muscles around the airways, and clear out any excess mucus.
If you suspect you are having a mild asthma attack, visit Bayside Urgent Care. Our medical staff is expert at treating this and other non-life-threatening emergencies. Note that if you suspect a severe asthma reaction, please call 911.
We are located in Clearwater, Florida, and we’re open seven days a week, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 8 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, from 9 am to 6 pm. We’re always accepting new patients, and no appointments are necessary.

Difficulty breathing or getting a full breath
Coughing
Wheezing

How Can Urgent Care Help with Your Asthma?
The human body responds differently to different allergens, which is why asthma attacks range from mild to severe. Depending on how strongly the body reacts to allergens, you may experience a simple allergic reaction, an asthma attack, or even anaphylaxis - a very dangerous reaction that can be deadly. Note that if you suspect a severe asthma reaction, please call 911.
At Bayside Urgent Care Center, we will assess your asthma symptoms and can help diagnose or treat them, if necessary. During your visit, we will perform chest x-rays and prescribe medications to keep you breathing easy.
